A Few New Blogs on the Block

Well, it looks like there are a few others who are intrigued by the "blogosphere" community. So far, my dad, my cousin Amber, and my sister-in-law Deanna have all created their own blogs. If you get a minute and want to keep up to date on what's going on in their lives, go ahead and check their blogs out. I'll list them as links so that you can all quickly access them.

Double Digits!!!!

We've made it to DOUBLE DIGITS!! 98 days to go from here... I am knitting lots of things for our little buddy and I'm currently trying to choose fabric for the curtains in his room (decisions, decisions...). I'm going to take some pictures of all of his hand knit items that I've completed so far so that you can see how nuts I've been (I know, he'll outgrow everything in mere moments but they are all such cute little items I couldn't help myself).
Two days ago I could feel either an arm or a leg just to the right of my belly button. He kept it there for about 30 seconds or so and I could rub back and forth lightly and actually feel the arm/leg!!!
Just thought the blog could use an update...bye!

Congratulations, Amber, on a job well done!!!
My cousin Amber graduated from high school last week and was one of the valedictorians. She received several scholarship offers and will be attending LSU in the fall. Little Miss Smarty Pants...

24 weeks!

Well, I went to the doctor today for a routine 4-week checkup and my belly has grown 3 cm (north to south) since four weeks ago and in total I have gained 10 pounds. I have a bit of a soccer ball for a belly now and our little buddy kicks and moves quite a bit everyday (which makes his mommy really happy) and I can see my belly move with his kicks several times a day. He's definitely getting stronger! His heart rate today was 154 beats per minute and the doctor found it right away with the doppler - boy was it loud! I'll be going for my glucose tolerance test in the next two weeks or so and then I'll have another doctor visit in four weeks. After that I will be seeing her every two weeks.
Keith and I went to a few baby stores this past weekend, bought some very cute outfits, began a registry and we've even ordered the crib (we should be able to pick it up in about two weeks from the store in New Orleans) - we were pretty busy but had a lot of fun looking at all the tiny (and other not so tiny) baby things!
I've had the ultrasound tape transferred to DVD but I have yet to figure out how to load it so that you guys can view it so I'll work on that next. I'm going to get Keith to take a few pictures of me so that those of you who are out of town can see how my belly has grown (it seems to have really "popped" in the last couple of weeks).

Well they're movin' on up...

Well, I wanted to let y'all know that it looks like Alex and Dee will be home owners in September!!! They found a house that is being built that they really like and they've signed a contract to buy it. It should be finished mid-September so that should be a very exciting month for all of us! We're really happy for them and we'll keep everyone updated with pictures as the house moves along.

And then he grew...

These are the pictures from the ultrasound at 20 weeks (April 23,2008) - he was a busy little guy during those 8 weeks. He weighs almost a pound and is 8" from the top of his head to his bottom. We have a great 7 minute video (get out the popcorn) but it's on a VHS tape and I need to get it converted to DVD to be able to post it (I'm sure you're all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting).
